A house fire that started in the garage, according to the Taylor Fire Department, took an hour and a half to control. Taylor fire was dispatched around 3 p.m. to the fire, which took place at a residence near the intersection of Sloan and West Sixth streets, and the fire was under control around 4:30. Taylor fire received assistance from the Hutto Fire Department, Williamson County Emergency Services District 10 and the Taylor Police Department. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
