Hutto’s Grapes & Rye hosts all-day workshops
HUTTO — Craft cocktail bar Grapes & Rye is serving up education, fun and drinks downtown with its Learning and Libations event Saturday, Jan. 31.
Organizers call the 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. showcase at 111 East St. a “day-to-night learning experience” allowing attendees to enjoy exercise, food and mixology classes; shop at a vendors market featuring local artisans; and sip on cocktails from Grapes & Rye’s pop-up craft bar.

The free vendors market opens at 10 a.m.
Grapes & Rye co-owner Rachel Green-Williams said Learning and Libations is turning downtown into a “hub of creativity and craft.” “We created Learning and Libations to be more than just an event; it’s a celebration of vibrant local talent and a great way to kick-start the new year by learning a new skill,” Green- Williams said. The morning will begin with a Pilates class followed by espresso martinis. Other workshops include making charcuterie boards and learning which wines pair best with them, rolling cigars and pairing whiskey and other spirits with the stogies; and two Grapes & Rye mixology classes.
The day wraps up with “Golden Hour,” a cocktail lounge featuring music and drinks.
“Learning & Libations is our way of inviting the community to sip, shop and sharpen their skills in a sophisticated, high-energy atmosphere. Whether you’re here for the espresso martinis or the handrolled cigars, you’re in for a day of discovery and building connections,” Green-Williams said in a release.
Grapes & Rye opened its brick-and-mortar location, 3333 CR 119, Suite 28, in March 2025.
Established in 2023, the business is run by Green-Williams and her husband, Lawrence Williams.
Prior to debuting their physical location, the couple ran a mobile cocktail bar, which they still use at parties and events.
Hours for Grapes & Rye are 6-9 p.m. Thursday for mixology classes only, but the bar is open 5-9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
