Wilco EMS' Moore receives national leadership award

GEORGETOWN — An assistant chief with the Williamson County Emergency Medical Services has received a national development and leadership award, officials announced.

Nick Moore is a fall 2025 leadership award recipient through Fitch & Associates’ Ambulance Service Manager program, a national development course for EMS professionals, according to a county news release.

Moore numbered among more than 70 EMS and publicsafety leaders from across the country completing advanced leadership training through Fitch & Associates’ fall 2025 management programs.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to train alongside EMS leaders from across the nation and around the world,” Moore said in a prepared statement. “It was a great chance to share the work our team is doing and bring back ideas to better support our field providers and communities.”

In total, 41 leaders graduated from the Ambulance Service Manager program, while 31 completed the Communication Center Manager program, officials said.

Participants completed online coursework and two weeks of in-person instruction in San Antonio, focusing on leadership development, operational decisionmaking and organizational strategy across emergency communications and EMS systems.

Award recipients were selected by their peers based on collaboration, engagement and demonstrated leadership throughout the program, the release noted.

Moore also contributed to the Ambulance Service Manager capstone project, “Compassion Fatigue,” to be presented at the Pinnacle EMS Leadership Conference July 13–16 in San Diego.
