ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION AND AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT TRANSITION PLAN
The city is hosting a town hall Tuesday to discuss the Active Transportation and Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan. The session is 6-8 p.m. March 24 at the Dickey-Givens Community Center, 1015 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Officials said the plan is designed to make Taylor’s streets, sidewalks and trails safer as well as more connected and accessible.
At the meeting, residents will have the opportunity to review the draft and provide feedback.
The Active Transportation and ADA Transition Plan covers the entire city and will guide future investments in sidewalks, trails and bicycle facilities to comply with the federal act, planners said.
