GEORGETOWN — A 33-year-old man picked up by Williamson County sheriff’s deputies is charged with murder in connection with a fentanyl- related death last year. Garrett Wise, 33, remained Friday in the Williamson County Jail, according to court records. At press time, no bond had been set.
Wise was arrested Thursday in connection with the death of 30-yearold Jensen Anders, whose body was found March 15, 2025, at a residence on CR 433 in Thrall, according to investigators.
At the time of Wise’s arrest, deputies located suspected fentanyl, according to law officers.
The U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force contributed to the investigation and arrest, officials said.
Texas lawmakers passed House Bill 6 in 2024, which creates a murder charge for deaths related to illicit fentanyl.
