TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MARCH 23

At 4:54 p.m., Taylor Police Department officers responding to a reported disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of West Seventh Street were told an 18-year-old male physically assaulted a household member and tried to prevent a call to police for assistance. The teen was charged with a pair of Class A misdemeanors – assault with injury/family violence and interference with emergency communication.

MARCH 25

At 11:20 a.m., Taylor police responded to a motor-vehicle crash in the 1000 block of Cottonboll Drive and spotted a 39-year-old woman running from the scene despite being ordered to stop.

Police caught up to her and she was charged with evading arrest on foot, a Class B misdemeanor.

MARCH 26

At 8:32 a.m., city officers rushed to a disturbance in the 1200 block of Fairgrounds Street and investigated reports a 57-year-old man assaulted a member of the household. He was charged with assault with injury/family violence, a Class A misdemeanor.

MARCH 27

Taylor police responded to a reported disturbance at Murphy USA, 105 N.W.

Carlos G. Parker Blvd., and detained a 31-year-old man. An investigation indicated he attempted to start a fight with other customers and refused to leave the property when asked by employees. He was charged with three misdemeanors – evading arrest, Class A; criminal trespass, Class B; and public intoxication, Class B.

Taylor police arriving at the Adult Probation Office, 412 Vance St., encountered a 66-year-old man who had a third-degree felony warrant out of Pflugerville alleging assault with injury to a hospital staff member. An investigation revealed the man may have attempted to fudge a narcotics panel, which earned him a Class B misdemeanor charge of falsification of a drug test.

MARCH 28

At 2:13 a.m., Taylor police responded to the 200 block of North Main Street to investigate a report about an unwanted person. They found a 42-year-old woman who appeared to be drunk, leading to a charge of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.

At 8:47 a.m., a 28-year-old man pulled over by law enforcement in the 3800 block of North Main Street was charged with driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.

MARCH 29

At 12:28 a.m., Taylor officers arrived at a residence in the 900 block of Debra Drive and arrested a 31-year-old Taylor woman who had an active bond barring her from the home. She was charged with violation of a bond/protective order, a Class A misdemeanor.

At 5:31 a.m., a 28-year-old man suspected of driving while intoxicated was stopped by Taylor officers in the 100 block of Kyra Lane and charged with DWI, a Class B misdemeanor.
