THRALL — Thrall’s power surge was on full display as the Tigerettes blasted four home runs — including three back-to-back-to-back in the fourth inning — in a 13-0 victory over Cameron on Tuesday, March 31. Senior Miley Pokorny also tossed a five-inning no-hitter, striking out 12 in a dominant performance.
Thrall freshman Addison Dickens led the offense, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs. The Tigerettes jumped out early, scoring four runs in the first inning on an RBI single by Kenzie Engelke and a three-run double from Dickens to take a 4-0 lead.
Thrall continued to build its advantage as freshman Reese Madsen hit a two-run home run, and another run scored on a groundout to make it 7-0.
The Tigerettes added another run on a groundout before breaking the game open in the fourth inning with five runs, highlighted by three consecutive solo home runs from Engelke, Dickens and Ryleigh Jensen to secure the run-rule victory.
Thrall remained perfect in district play at 7-0 and improved to 18-7 overall. The Tigerettes closed out the series against Cameron on Friday and will return to action on the road against Lexington at 6 p.m.
