The Taylor Police Department is following up clues after an intruder broke into Old Taylor High and looted a pair of stores early Wednesday.
Officers said the man is believed to have stolen cash or goods from the shops, but not before his image was captured by video surveillance. According to investigators, a person of interest has been developed, but no arrest has been reported.
“A suspect has been identified, and investigators are continuing to gather evidence and follow up on leads,” said Taylor police in a prepared statement. “TPD is working closely with the affected business owners throughout the investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.”
Anyone with knowledge about the case can call investigators at 512-352-5551.
The former high school campus at 410 W. Seventh St. was repurposed a few years ago as a venue offering shopping, food and entertainment.
