Williamson County will have a new tax assessor-collector soon.
Longtime Tax Assessor-Collector Larry Gaddes resigned from his position Tuesday, June 9, after he accepted the Deputy Executive Director position with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. Gaddes served as the county's tax assessor-collector since January 2017.
"I am honored for the opportunity to serve the citizens of Williamson County, immensely proud of the work of our office and deeply grateful to have served with such an amazing staff,” said Gaddes.
The Commissioners Court will appoint a person to fill the position until the next General Election. The office will be on the Nov. 2026 ballot for voters to elect a new Williamson County Tax Assessor-Collector to fulfill the office for the unexpired term ending on Dec. 31, 2028.
