ELGIN – The Elgin Wildcats clenched a 15-7 victory during their road game against the Del Valle Cardinals on Friday, Sept 18.
The Wildcats scored the first and only action in the first quarter from a successful three-point kick.
The second quarter saw touchdowns in both endzones, with Elgin leading 9-7 going into halftime.
No team was able to find success in the third quarter, and Elgin finished out the night with a final touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Del Valle now holds a 0-4 record and will begin district play in two weeks against Akins High School.
Elgin now holds a 2-2 record and will look to play the Rudder Rangers in their last non- district game on Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. at Rudder High School.
