THRALL – The Thrall Tigers varsity baseball team earned strong recognition in the District 19-3A all-district selections, with five players receiving alldistrict honors and two others earning honorable mention recognition following the 2026 season.
Leading the way for the Tigers was junior Weston Smiley, who was named Co-Defensive MVP after helping anchor Thrall's defense throughout the season. Smiley also made significant contributions on the mound, finishing with a 2.13 ERA while recording six RBIs at the plate.
Thrall also placed two players on the first team all-district squad in Jack Gustafson and Gus Navejas.

Bryce Brinkmeyer and Logan Heselmeyer were both named second team all-district selections.
Brinkmeyer was one of the Tigers' top pitchers, posting a team-best 1.91 ERA during the season. Heselmeyer provided another reliable bat in the lineup, finishing with a .286 batting average.
Rounding out the district honors were Cannon Seaton and Korbin Bow, who each earned honorable mention recognition for their contributions throughout the year.
The Tigers finished fifth in the district standings and narrowly missed qualifying for the postseason.
