STEPHENVILLE – The Granger High School cheer team brought home several honors from National Cheerleading Association Cheer Camp at Tarleton State University.
The Lions were named Top Team in the Large Varsity Division for both cheer and chant performances while earning Superior Blue Ribbons in Band Chant, Situational Cheer and Cheer Performance.
Granger also received the Herkie Award, SAFE Stunting Award and Best Prop Incorporation Award. The team earned NFHS credentials during the camp.
Audrie Huf and Lyla Jane White were selected as NCA All-Americans. Mascot Kate Daugherty, who performs as Leo the Lion, was named an NCA All-American Mascot and received the Outstanding Character Award.
