Taylor spraying for mosquitoes ahead of 250th celebration

In preparation for the Fourth of July celebration Saturday, the city of Taylor will conduct truck-mounted mosquito spraying Wednesday, July 1.

Since testing began in May, two mosquito samples from Williamson County have tested positive for West Nile Virus in neighboring Hutto and Georgetown. No human cases have been reported in Williamson County to date.

Mosquitoes breed in standing water, needing as little as one teaspoon. By draining all sources of standing water in and around your property, you reduce the number of places mosquitoes can lay their eggs and breed.
