Hutto senior athlete Jaiden Fields continues to rack up offseason recognition ahead of his final high school season.
Fields was recently named to the Dave Campbell’s Texas Football preseason Class 6A All-State Team as a utility player, recognizing his ability to make an impact in multiple roles on the field.
In addition to the allstate selection, Fields was also included on Dave Campbell’s Texas Football’s watch list of the top 10 uncommitted players in the Class of 2026, further solidifying his status as one of the state’s premier recruits entering the fall.
The standout playmaker is coming off back-to-back dominant seasons for the Hippos. As a sophomore, Fields broke out as Hutto’s leading receiver, hauling in 832 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns while emerging as one of the district’s top offensive threats.
He followed that performance with an even more impressive junior campaign, finishing with 1,345 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. Fields averaged more than 112 receiving yards per game and consistently produced explosive plays that helped fuel one of the area’s top offenses.
His production played a major role in Hutto’s successful 2025 season, as the Hippos finished 7-1 in district play to earn a share of the district championship before advancing to the second round of the Class 6A-Division II playoffs.
Fields will now look to cap off an already impressive career during his senior season while adjusting to a new coaching staff. Hutto will be led by first-year head coach Casey Walraven, whose high-powered offensive system helped produce prolific numbers during his previous stop at Alvarado.
With another strong season, Fields has the opportunity to further elevate his standing among the nation’s top prospects. According to 247Sports, he is ranked as the No. 47 athlete in the country and has received 19 Division I scholarship offers.
His offer list includes Texas A&M, Texas Tech, TCU, SMU and Texas State, among several other programs, as college recruiters continue to pursue one of the state’s most dynamic allaround athletes.
