A mural in Potter's Alley in downtown Taylor was reportedly vandalized Monday or Tuesday, and the Taylor Police Department is investigating the incident.
According to authorities, a Taylor police officer discovered a newly painted mural "riddled in black spray paint writing." The discovery was made by the officer while he patrolled downtown about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.
Taylor police believe the graffiti was done Monday night. Depending on the cost of the damage and repair, the penalty for this crime ranges from Class C misdemeanor or felony.
