The Taylor Lady Ducks varsity volleyball team fell in straight sets, 3-0, to Giddings on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
The Lady Ducks struggled to find consistency throughout the match, falling 25-12 in the opening set. Giddings continued to control the match in the second set, earning a 25-14 victory before closing out the sweep with a 25-11 win in the third set.
The loss continued a difficult start to the season for Taylor, which enters district play with a 4-20 overall record. The Lady Ducks have faced a challenging non-district schedule as they look to build momentum heading into district competition.
Taylor faced Temple on Friday in its final matchup before district play.
The Lady Ducks will open District 13-4A play at home against Austin Travis on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m. Taylor will look to start district competition on a strong note as it works to turn around its early-season struggles.
