Texans looking to vote in the Nov. 3 General Election must register by Monday, Oct. 5.
Residents must be at least 18 years old by Election Day, a U.S. citizen and live in the county where they are registering. Applications submitted by mail must be postmarked by the deadline.
Voters can request a manual postmark at any U.S. Postal Service location to confirm the date.
“If you are qualified to vote but have not yet registered, or if you have moved since you last voted, now is the time to act,” Texas Secretary of State Robert Howden said.
Voters can register, check their registration status or update their information at VoteTexas.gov or by calling 1-800-252-VOTE.
Early voting runs Oct. 19-30.
