Thrall volleyball streak snapped at home

Thrall Tigerette varsity volleyball team narrowly fell 3-2 to the Lexington Lady Eagles on Friday, Oct. 2, snapping their four-game win streak.

Lexington has defeated Thrall in their past three meetings, most recently blowing the Tigerettes out 3-0 in the district opener.

It was a fight from start to finish, with the Lady Eagles taking the first set 25-22. Thrall fought back immediately, winning the second and third sets 25-20 and 25-15, respectively. Lexington did not stay down for long however, defeating Thrall 25-22 in the fourth set.

Thrall laid it all down in the tie-breaking set, narrowly falling 15-12 for the first time since mid-September.

The Tigerettes are now 20- 15 overall and 5-3 for district, placing them third in rank. Thrall hosted Little River Academy on Oct. 6 before going on the road to play Franklin on Oct. 9 at 4:30 p.m.

Franklin is currently undefeated in district play, sitting at the top of the rankings holding a 28-5 overall record.
