AUSTIN — A new person is in charge of keeping up with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas markets.
The Public Utility Commission of Texas announced in a press release that Jeff McDonald will begin as the Director of the Independent Market Monitor the ERCOT market.
As IMM Director, McDonald will collaborate with the PUCT to detect and prevent market manipulation and identify potential design improvements for the ERCOT market, the press release said.
