THRALL — Two Tigerettes were named as the state’s best.
Senior Dezi Lopez and sophomore Miley Pokorny were selected to the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State team for their efforts in the previous softball season.
Lopez and Pokorny joined a list of 50 total players in UIL 2A softball.
Lopez, who was first team all-district, had a 0.398 batting average on the season.
Meanwhile, Pokorny was the workhorse for Thrall on the mound, pitching 179 of the 191 total innings throughout the season according to MaxPreps.
The sophomore struck out 218 opposing batters while only walking 59.
She finished the season with a 19-8 winloss record.
The Tigerettes ended the season in the area round against Thorndale High School and finished with a 26-11 overall record.
