Two arrested, charged with drugs and trafficking

Two people are in jail with hefty bonds after being caught with drugs and later hit with additional charges for human trafficking.

On June 12, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Unit, alongside SWAT and K9 units, executed a search warrant at 417 E. Rio Grande St. in Taylor. Five people were arrested for possession of a controlled substance, specifically methamphetamine.

Edward Tito Garza was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, more than one, but less than four grams. According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, Garza has a history of violent and drug-related crimes, including a 1992 murder conviction and multiple charges for evading arrest, failing to identify as a fugitive and various drug charges.
