Dive into aquaponic workshops

The Williamson and Travis counties Texas A&M AgriLife Extension offices will host three sessions for the 2024 Hydroponics/ Aquaponics Workshop Series.

The presentations will educate attendees on what it takes to operate an organic operation and will include tours of established hydro/aquaponic farms within the two counties.

The sessions include:

• Sept. 13 — Session 1, free: “What it Takes to be Organic” online webinar with Texas A&M Extension Organic Specialist Bob Whitney

• Sept. 20 — Session 2: Tour No. 1: “Lonestar Lettuce Growers,” 620 CR 141, Georgetown

• Sept. 27 — Session 3: “Aquaflora On Evelyn,” 7108 Everlyn Road, Austin The farm tours cost $18 to attend. Admission can be paid at the door Sept. 20, officials said.
