TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

JAN. 8

Officers responding to a report of a stolen vehicle tracked it to the 300 block of East Eighth Street at 9:17 p.m. A 43-year-old Taylor man sitting in the driver’s seat of the parked auto was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state-jail felony.

JAN. 10

A 37-year-old Taylor man who declined to put on the brakes when officers attempted to pull him over soon found himself parked behind bars. According to police, the case began at 9:34 p.m. in the 300 block of North Main Street during an attempted traffic stop. The motorist led officers on a vehicle pursuit, which ended in the 2700 block of Davis Street. He was charged with evading arrest/ detention with a motor vehicle, a state-jail felony, and was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Austin for parole violation/assault with injury to disabled person, a third-degree felony.

JAN. 11

Police arrested a 39-year-old Taylor woman at 5:50 p.m. in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. She had an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram, a seconddegree felony.

JAN. 12

A 23-year-old Taylor man suspected of driving while intoxicated was arrested at 3:41 a.m. in the 2500 block of North Main Street and charged with the Class B misdemeanor.

Police responding to a report of a suspected interloper at 6:17 p.m. in the 300 block of North Main Street took into a custody a 76-year-old man who had an active criminal trespass warning against him, banning him from the property. He was charged with criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor.
