OCCUPATION:
Contracts Administrator
POSITION RUNNING FOR: Taylor City Council District 4
If elected, what will be your top priority?
If elected, my primary goal will be to collaborate effectively and professionally with my fellow council members and the city staff to prioritize and focus on the core responsibilities of the city such as repairing, building and maintaining high-quality infrastructure systems, ensuring our public safety departments are funded and have optimum staffing levels and resources to keep Taylor residents safe and secure, reducing property taxes and the cost of living, and pursuing development opportunities that genuinely benefit the residents of Taylor.
What is the biggest issue facing Taylor right now?
I prefer to look at challenges as opportunities rather than issues. I believe Taylor’s greatest challenge right now lies in navigating the rapid growth that is coming to Taylor while addressing key priorities such as upgrading our aging infrastructure, ensuring the provision of essential city services, maintaining affordable property taxes and cost of living, fostering economic growth by attracting new businesses and supporting existing ones, and negotiating development deals that align with the community’s interests — all while safeguarding the small-town charm and character that make Taylor unique.
Why are you running?
I am running for city council because I am deeply anchored in our community and genuinely desire to contribute to Taylor’s prosperity using my professional and personal experiences and skills while preserving the small-town charm and sense of community that my husband and I moved our family here for.
Why should the residents vote for you?
Citizens should vote for me because I am the only candidate with the professional and personal experience necessary to make the city government work for the people of Taylor. I sincerely care about every Taylor citizen and our community. With more than 25 years of diverse experience in construction, legal legislative advocacy, and international business, I specialize in project management and contracts administration.
My expertise includes permitting, budgeting, bidding, human resources, purchasing, accounting, bonding, insurance, and professional and trade licensing.

I will effectively represent and support the citizens of District 4 by being accessible and maintaining regular communication. I will carry out my duties as their representative and advocate by diplomatically working with fellow council members, city management and staff, other governmental agencies, organizations, businesses, and citizens. I will always uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, promote transparency in decision- making processes, and hold stakeholders accountable for their roles. I will navigate complex situations to identify key issues, develop solutions, and implement effective strategies to benefit the people of Taylor.
