Pop Star Local Cub Scout top seller in popcorn fundraiser
Sales can be tough for some, but easy for others.
For Landon Edlin, a second grader at Naomi Paseman Elementary and a Cub Scout with Pack 912 in Hutto, sales seem to come naturally. Edlin has been named the top seller of popcorn in the Central Texas area for the 2024-25 scout popcorn fundraiser sale.
He spoke to countless people as he sold more than $14,000 in popcorn and popcorn-related products through a combination of booth and online sales and simply pulling his laden wagon door-todoor. In the seven-week sale period, Edlin worked more than 35 hours after school and on weekends to sell popcorn.
Edlin received a portion of the money he raised for the scouting program. He plans to use his purchase camping equipment and a PS5 game console with the money he earned.
