Think you are too old to accomplish your healthy weight goals?
Think you are too old to accomplish your healthy weight goals?
I recently had a 70-year-old woman say she is too old to get healthy. Her blood sugar is over 400. She is obese and takes four different meds. I told her a few of the following stories from our success journals: Becky: I’m currently on the program. I’m 68, and I kept telling myself the same thing, “I was too old.” I’ve lost 40 pounds and I am off all medication my doctors had once prescribed. I feel better than I have in years. 12/10/2022 07:13 AM

Artists sought for city public art project
Do you have a fun idea for an art piece to be displayed in city parks? Artists are sought for The Taylor Public Arts Advisory Board’s Portal Project, which is a fun and creative way to bring art to unexpected community areas, such as the hike and bike trail, by decorating the elevated manhole covers along the route. The Portal Project already spans several manhole covers along the trail, starting from Eleventh and Washburn streets and heading south and east. 12/07/2022 08:32 AM
