Lady Hippos battle Weiss on senior night
HUTTO — Eight senior players were honored Tuesday, Oct. 10 as the Hutto High School varsity volleyball team hosted Pflugerville Weiss High School in a 6A-District 12 match. For senior night, the eight Lady Hippo players honored before the match were Charlize Williams, Cori Babb, Hailey Bartley, Brittany Haberer, Carolina Vogelpohl, Andreani Garcia, Jayanna Davis and Jada Selvera.

THRALL — The Thrall Tigerettes (24-7 overall, 5-0 District 26-2A) continued their winning ways Tuesday with a 25-8, 25-11, 25-9 sweep of the Bartlett Lassies. The win keeps the Tigerettes atop the district standings with three matches remaining on the district schedule.

Lady Ducks VB stuns La Grange in comeback
LA GRANGE — The Taylor High School varsity volleyball team pulled off a huge comeback victory on the road Tuesday night against La Grange High School. Down the first two sets to their 4A-District 22 foes, the Lady Ducks stormed back in the final three sets to take the match in a thrilling five-set affair, 12-25, 22-25, 26-24, 25-21 and 15-10 to seal the win.

THRALL — In the Thrall High School gymnasium packed with his teammates and coaches, Tigers varsity football standout junior quarterback was presented with the Built Ford Tough Player of the Week award for his Sept. 8 performance when Thrall defeated Johnson City High School 56-42.
