Chamber thrilled by Trades Day
Trades Day is always one of the Chamber’s favorite events of the year and, my goodness, this year did not disappoint! Held March 2, at the Williamson County Expo Center, the event welcomed more than 600 students from 13 schools including those in Taylor, Elgin, Giddings, Hutto, Fayetteville, Pflugerville, Burnet and Temple. They learned about career options from four trade and technical schools and met employers from 12 businesses that included S&D Plumbing, EMD Electronics, Durcon, Samsung, United Ag & Turf, Tesla and more. 03/26/2022 07:37 AM

Family ties
Taylor High School celebrated Black History Month in February with presentations by several speakers to share local stories and information about black history. A severe line of early spring thunderstorms that carved a path of destruction across central Texas spawned at least five tornadoes, including one that wreaked havoc in Hutto, Granger and Taylor.
