Williamson County Precinct 2 Commissioner Cynthia Long is the recipient of the 2022 Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Road Hand Award. She was recognized for the award Feb. 7 at the State Transportation Forum.

Hutto student artists recognized in 2022 Scholastic Art Awards
HUTTO – This year, the Austin Texas Art Region received over 1,400 individual submissions and 27 senior portfolios. Schools submit student art pieces to compete at the regional level. These entries are then judged by several panels of highlyqualified professionals who select either Gold Key, Silver Key or Honorable Mention recipients.

Honorary board
January was School Board Recognition Month, and Taylor ISD was honored to celebrate its trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district’s schools and students. “Our school board members are selfless volunteers who spend long hours working to ensure all of our students have the opportunity to learn and grow,” said Superintendent Devin Padavil.

LEARNING ABOUT VIETNAM
In honor of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, children in Ms. Rosa’s class at Trinity Child Development Center in Taylor learn about the Vietnamese culture during a recent celebration. The parents of the student named Fletcher provided food, decorations and learning materials.
