Council selected recipients of TCMA council of the year award
The Taylor City Council has been selected as the 2022 Texas City Management Association (TCMA) City Council of the Year. The TCMA City Council of the Year award recognizes and honors outstanding city councils that have made significant contributions to local government in Texas. The Association of Texas Small School Bands regions 18 and 26 held their region band clinic and concert Jan. 28-29. Earning seats in the symphonic band were Max Finn, first chair baritone saxophone; Kennedy Yanez, third chair flute; and Trace Karch, third chair tuba. Noah Hammack earned second chair in concert band on euphonium. Sarah Burke from Blinn college was the symphonic band clinician andconductor, and Mike Lewis, of Burnet, led the concert band.
