The Granger Lady Lions picked up a 3-2 victory over the Moody Bearcats on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Moody High School.
The Lady Lions got off to a strong start, taking the opening set 25-17. Moody responded by winning the next two sets, both by a 25-23 score, putting Granger on the brink of defeat.
Granger answered in the fourth set, pulling away for a 25-19 victory to force a deciding fifth set.
The Lady Lions and Bearcats battled back and forth in the final set, with Granger ultimately holding on for a dramatic 16-14 victory to complete the comeback.
The win continued a strong stretch for Granger as the Lady Lions have found their rhythm late in the pre-district schedule.
Granger has now won five of its last six matches.
The Lady Lions will look to carry that momentum into the final portion of their pre-district schedule.
Granger faced Snook on Friday before returning to action against Florence at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Florence High School.
