The Thrall Tigerettes varsity volleyball team fell 3-0 to the Lexington Eagles in its district opener Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Thrall struggled to keep pace with Lexington throughout the match, falling 25-13 in the opening set. The Tigerettes battled back in the second set but ultimately came up short, 25-19, before Lexington closed out the match with a 25-22 victory in the third set.
Despite the loss, Thrall showed improvement as the match progressed, keeping the final set within striking distance before Lexington secured the sweep.
The Tigerettes looked to bounce back against Little River Academy on Friday, Sept. 11, before returning home to host Franklin on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6 p.m.
