The Taylor Lady Duck varsity volleyball team completed their 2026 regular season at home on Friday, Oct. 23, falling 3-0 to the undefeated Manor New Tech Lady Titans.
The Lady Titans were the only team to defeat Taylor in district play this season, taking the Lady Ducks down in straight sets each match.
Taylor did not go down without a fight however, narrowly falling 25-23 in the first set. New Tech struck down the Lady Ducks 25-21 in the second set and closed the meeting with a 25-22 victory over the hosts.
Taylor holds a 14-24 overall record and finished the season with a 10-2 district record, earning the second spot on the district rankings and a position in bi-district playoffs. This is a strong improvement from last season, as the Lady Ducks were unable to clinch a playoff position while maintaining a 9-24 overall record and 2- 10 for district play.
The first round of bi-district play is set to begin on Thursday, Oct 29 at 6 p.m. against the Marble Falls Lady Mustangs. The location has yet to be announced.
Marble Falls currently holds a 15-23 overall record, finishing the regular season with a 4-6 district record and the fourth-place spot on district rankings. Their latest result is a 3-1 victory over the Johnson City Lady Eagles on Monday, Oct. 26.
