HUTTO – The city of Hutto has confirmed that Hutto Police Department are actively investigating the drowning of a 6-year-old child.
On Sunday evening, Sept. 3, police responded to an incident at a neighborhood pool located on Great Western Drive. Though the city did not release further details on the location, Great Western Drive does feature a neighborhood pool in the park at Brushy Creek subdivision.
The deceased child did not live in the Hutto area, according to officials.
The incident is being called an accidental drowning. A city spokesperson called the death a tragic situation, and said that the city cannot yet provide additional information on this ongoing investigation.
