NOTICE OF SCHEDULED ENTRY INTO FIELDS

Pursuant to Tex. Agric. Code, Sec. 74.117, cotton producers in the Southern Blacklands Boll Weevil Eradication Zone, which consists of all of Anderson, Brazos, Burleson, Freestone, Grimes, Harris, Houston, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Robertson, Walker, Camp, Wood, Upshur, Marion, Harrison, Gregg, Smith, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Shelby, Nacogdoches, San Augustine, Sabine, Angelina, Trinity, San Jacinto, Polk, Tyler, Jasper, Newton, Hardin, Orange, Jefferson, Chambers, Galveston, Washington, Montgomery, Coryell, Mills, Lampasas, San Saba, Llano, Gillespie, Kendall, Blanco, Burnet, Bell, Williamson, Travis, Hays, Comal, Guadalupe, Gonzales, Fayette, Caldwell, Bastrop, Lee, Milam, and Falls Counties and parts of Limestone, Waller, McLennan Counties are hereby notified that Texas Boll Weevil Eradi-cation Foundation personnel will be conducting eradication activities in and around their fields, beginning December 04, 2023.

All cotton fields will be mapped, and treatment will begin during the cottongrowing season. For notification prior to any chemical treatment, call 1-800 687-1212 with the exact location of your field and appropriate telephone numbers. Field entry and treatment is expected to last until all cotton is no longer hostable in the zone.

To mitigate risk, beekeepers should notify the Foundation of beehive locations near cotton fields. The Foundation will monitor treatments in these locations where bees are present to ensure the security of hives.
