Hutto ISD accepts tech company application
Hutto might be joining neighboring Taylor in hosting a new resident in the global technological landscape. On March 31, the Hutto ISD board of trustees vote to accept an application from Applied Materials for a Texas Tax Code Chapter 313 Agreement pursuant to the Texas Economic Development Act.

TSTC hosts open house at East Williamson County campus
HUTTO – Texas State Technical College’s East Williamson County campus hosted several hundred area high school students on Friday for its first in-person open house since 2019. “It’s so energizing,” said Lissa Adams, provost of TSTC’s East Williamson County campus.

Brushy Creek concern not in area
Issues up river don’t appear to have flowed in Taylor. Taylor’s municipal government has not received any notification in regards to the Brushy Creek river amid an investigation by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for possible sewage leaking into the water in the Round Rock area.

Kids business fair Saturday
For the fifth year, ESTEAM Academy will host its annual Children’s Business Fair in Round Rock to support and encourage young entrepreneurs between the ages of 4-17. This year, the fair has grown by 30% and will showcase the talents of over 70 young entrepreneurs in more than booths.

MALLARD MANIA
The Taylor Educational Enrichment (TEE) Foundation celebrated their 2022 grant recipients on March 25 in true Mallard Mania style with a parade that traveled to classrooms to surprise the winners. “Receiving a TEE Foundation grant is like Christmas morning,” said first grade teacher Cassidy Walters.
