Wildfire risk remains high in much of state
Much of the state remains at considerable risk for wildfires through this week, largely because of higher-than-usual temperatures and drought conditions. More than 40% of the state is suffering extreme drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. Nearly the entire state is in some form of drought, with much of the Panhandle, High Plains and west central Texas most at risk. 04/02/2022 06:13 AM

Get dirty but shake off the dust!
I’m a discipleship guy. Why? Because, without it, there’s no transformation and the beautiful things to come. So, I’m all about change and spiritual growth—mine and yours. But what is basic discipleship, and how can we be fruitful as we do it? 04/02/2022 06:13 AM

A view from the band stands on disparities in women’s sports
March Madness is packed with amazing opportunities for fans, students and cities, but showcases obvious disadvantages between men and women’s basketball. I have been given the fortune to travel to many cities this semester to perform at basketball tournaments for the Razorback basketball teams. 03/26/2022 07:37 AM

Dear Editor, I admit it I can get riled about things. However, there is absolutely no excuse for everyone not to be angry and upset about what is happening to Ukraine and the people in that country! But the real angst that gets me going is people such as tucker carlson (I spell this name intentionally in lower case), and Rupert Murdoch, who allows jokers such as carlson to be on the air waves saluting Putin. 03/05/2022 10:19 AM
