A second Spring
Fall in Central Texas feels more like a second spring, but with a decrease in daylight. With the drop in overnight temperatures, it’s finally cool enough to be able to plant again. Thirteen Taylor High School students have been recognized by the College Board for outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10 and/or AP Exams throughout their high school career. Waddles Family Tree 1936-2022
One of the highlights of Homecoming 2022 was the Taylor High School Mascot Reunion. Former Waddles and pre-Waddles mascots were invited to take a group photo at the ex-students program. The earliest mascot in attendance was Phil Pierce who served as Taylor’s mascot from 1936 – 1939, then as a senior Pierce went on to serve as team captain for the Ducks. Other mascots attending the reunion were Kimberly Hill, Kristine Sankey, Brittany Crayton, Lisa Buzan, Mandy Tennill, Stacyi Roznovak Burris and Brittani Barron. 10/08/2022 08:57 AM

Taylor High School names Students of the Month
Taylor High School has named Ryan Valdez and Estrella De La Torre as Students of the Month for September. With a focus on the character traits of respect and responsibility, these two students were nominated by their teachers for the outstanding job they do every day. Speaking on the importance of respect, Valdez said, “Respect is important because I want to be treated the way I treat others. Even if I’m not (treated with respect), I’m still treating them with respect.” 10/08/2022 08:57 AM
