HUTTO – Last week, the Hutto community celebrated homecoming, including seniors at Falcon Ridge Rehabilitation. Residents at Falcon Ridge enjoyed a visit from Hutto ISD cheerleaders and drumline.

Light installation at FM 1660 and Chandler Rd soon
HUTTO – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will install a traffic signal at the heavily traveled intersection of FM 1660 and Chandler Road in Hutto. The signal is part of the Austin District’s nonsite- specific signal installation program, which will install high priority signals across the 14 counties in the district.

The Public Arts Advisory Board invites the public to a frightfilled evening as they show the classic movie Nosferatu with music featured during the film being played live by members of the Central Texas Philharmonic.

Applications and donations sought for Operation Red Santa
The Taylor Fire Department and the Taylor Professional Firefighters Association are teaming up to offer the Red Santa Program to ensure Taylor-area children have toys for Christmas and their families have food for a holiday dinner.

A second Spring
Fall in Central Texas feels more like a second spring, but with a decrease in daylight. With the drop in overnight temperatures, it’s finally cool enough to be able to plant again. Fall is the best time for planting trees, shrubs and perennials since there is just enough time for plants to establish a strong root system before going dormant over the winter.

TAB hears about United Seniors of Taylor
At the August meeting of the Taylor Area Businesswomen, the organization heard more about local senior citizens. The meeting opened with a prayer from Brenda Cox followed by minutes and the treasurer’s report.
