HUTTO – The city of Hutto and Hutto ISD have teamed up to launch #HippoNationFriday, a community-wide initiative to show community unity and pride by wearing Hutto orange every Friday. HUTTO – Texas State Technical College’s Cybersecurity program is coming back this fall to the East Williamson County campus in a hybrid format. For the first time since spring 2020, students will be able to attend labs inperson on campus and listen to lectures online. Live southern roots rock ‹n’ roll music from the Statesboro Revue, a Texas pit barbecue dinner, a live and silent auction, and a raffle: these are some of the highlights promised at the 19th annual Down Home Rodeo, an annual gala event sponsored by Down Home Ranch in support of children born with intellectual disabilities. The event will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Coupland Dance Hall & Inn, 101 Hoxie Street, in Coupland. According to representatives from Down Home Ranch, a non-profit organization, “Proceeds from the gala will support people with disabilities as they pursue their interests, learn new skills, build social connections and feel empowered at an inspiring 33-year-old ranch in Elgin, TX.” 08/24/2022 08:20 AM
