Hutto ISD implements new phone system
HUTTO –Hutto ISD recently implemented a new phone system to allow for easier two-way communication between parents and staff. This has caused some changes to phone numbers throughout the district. While the main district and campus numbers remain the same, individual extensions have changed.

Students make unity bracelets to honor Black History Month
HUTTO – During Black History Month, Farley Middle School students were invited to meet during lunch in the art and science classrooms to make Black History Month Unity Bracelets. The idea came from Chloe Anderson, a seventhgrade student at Farley, who is passionate about racial equity.

Ash Wednesday service this week
Tenth Street United Methodist Church will host an Ash Wednesday service on March 2 along with First United Methodist Church and Allen Chapel AME Church of Taylor and the Thrall United Methodist Church. The Rev. Travis Summerlin will lead the service and invites anyone in the Taylor area to attend.

Taylor in run for ‘Strongest’ town
Taylor could be a certifiable strong town if it wins a contest. On March 1, Taylor’s municipal government announced that it successfully made it to the first round of the organization Strong Town’s National Strongest Town Contest.
