GRANGER – The Granger Lions varsity volleyball team officially released its 2026 schedule as the Lady Lions prepare for another competitive season under a packed slate of tournaments, nondistrict matchups and district play.
Granger will begin the season with home scrimmages on Aug. 7 before traveling to Mumford for another scrimmage the following day. The Lady Lions will also compete in tournaments at Cameron, Rockdale and Academy during the non-district portion of the schedule.
The regular season opens with road matches against Rockdale, Bremond and Moody, while Granger’s home opener is set for Aug. 25 against Rogers. Other home non-district contests include Centex and Snook.
District play begins Sept. 17 when the Lady Lions host Bartlett. Granger will also face McDade, Holland and Thorndale in district competition with the regular season finale scheduled for Oct. 19 at home against Central Texas Christian.
The Lady Lions are coming off an impressive district championship season in which they finished 19-9 overall and 9-1 in district play, and they will look to build on that success entering the 2026 season.
