Like a recent Taylor event, Hutto’s municipal government is trying to wrangle ideas for tomorrow. Hutto to install lights on basketball courts
Pretty soon, aspiring basketball stars of all ages will be able to shoot hoops in Hutto well after the sun goes down. The Hutto City Council voted unanimously on May 5 to purchase basketball court lighting systems for Hutto Lake Park, Fritz Park and Hutto Community Park. 05/25/2022 09:56 AM

A Tuesday night school board meeting ended with several actions in regards to Samsung Austin Semiconductor’s coming to Taylor. Property taxes are affected by a recent Williamson County Commissioners Court vote.
County OKs tax exempts
On May 17, Williamson County Commissioners Court voted to increase property tax exemptions, which should provide tax relief to residential homesteads in the county. “Williamson County has seen tremendous growth in property values this past year,” said Precinct 2 Commissioner Cynthia Long, “so it was important to the Commissioners Court that we do what we can in order to lessen the tax burden on our homeowners to combat rising home values.” Property tax exemptions for people ages 65 and older increased from $90,000 to $125,000. 05/20/2022 09:24 PM
