District seeks to boost attendance rates

Lady Ducks Area track meet results
LA GRANGE – The Taylor Lady Ducks competed at the area track meet in La Grange Friday, April 21, and had a few athletes qualify for the regional meet. The Lady Ducks continued to show improvement, because even though not everyone on the team qualified for the regional meet, they still recorded some new personal bests.

Lions walk it off in season finale
GRANGER – On Tuesday, April 25, the Granger Lions took on the Holland Hornets in a back-and-forth contest that came down to the wire with the Lions coming out on top. The Granger Lions senior Nate Tucker smacked a ball over the fence to give the Lions a 11-10 victory over the Holland Hornets in the final game of the season.

Ducks record shutout in season finale
After securing the district title, the Taylor Ducks welcomed the Manor New Tech Titans to Krueger Field Tuesday, April 25 to close out the season in a five-inning game. The Ducks’ stellar pitching was on full display for the home crowd as they only allowed only one hit in the entire game.

GRANGER — Johnny “Friday Night” Ryder is known around town as the star player for the Lions football team, but now he is sporting Texas A&M University gear. Ryder participated in the spring game April 15 for the Aggies and it was a moment he will never forget: the realization of a longtime dream.

Williamson County delegation visits South Korea
SOUTH KOREA – A delegation of elected officials, city representatives and economic development executives from Williamson County flew to South Korea last week. As Williamson County is becoming a global destination for corporate relocations, the goal of the trip was to encourage economic development in the county and to meet with key executives at Samsung and other companies that are interested in doing business in Williamson County.
