TAYLOR CITY COUNCIL The Taylor City Council regularly meets the second and fourth Thursday every month at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 400 Porter St.

KIWANIS CLUB • Meets every Wednesday at noon at Sirloin Stockade, 3607 N. Main St.

Heritage Square Farmers Market The Farmers Market is typically every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will be held on Thursday, Jan. 27, at the Taylor SPJST Hall, located at 5025 FM 619. Serving will begin at 5 p.m. and continue to 7 p.m. The event will be drive-thru only. Dear Editor, We have all seen fireflies and the brilliant light these insects can produce. There is marine life which can also generate light and indifferent colors.

In 2010, a Taylor resident took his son to the Howard Theatre, a place he knew quite well. “I use to go to the Howard all the time,” said Joe O’Connell.
