There’s a recent scam being committed against Williamson County residents.
Phone scam claims to be from county
The Williamson County District Clerk’s Office wants to warn residents in Williamson and surrounding counties about a phone scam that was reported to that office. People have been receiving calls from someone who claims to be a county official or law enforcement officer telling the victim that he or she has failed to appear for jury duty and is threatening arrest by failure to appear. 06/15/2022 06:25 AM

The Rotary Club of Taylor heard from Commander Joseph Branson of the Taylor Police and victim services coordinator Priscilla Morena of the Taylor Police Department during the Rotary meeting at Sirloin Stockade in Taylor June 9. Branson talked about measures taken such as cameras in regards to monitoring school safety, and Morena spoke on helping victims of domestic abuse.
