County likely to up pay 5%
Salaries for Williamson County government officials and employees are set to go up amid national inflation concerns. Louisiana native Evan Hale will be taking over the role of sportswriter at the Taylor Press newspaper. Hale, originally from Scott, Louisiana, a small town outside of Lafayette graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in May 2022 with a degree in journalism. 07/30/2022 11:10 AM

The program is a community-focused, collaborative program that provides participants an in-depth look at government operations, community planning and awareness, and the opportunity to learn about civic culture from the inside. The classes include information about how city government works, operations of various city departments and Taylor Independent School District. Classes also covered civic organizations, Taylor history, the Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, the Taylor Economic Development Corporation, Main Street and downtown Businesses.
