Fields of dreams
Former Taylor Duck and recent Texas Tech graduate Damarcus Fields spent the weekend at home with his family waiting to see if his name was called in the 2022 National Football League (NFL) Draft. Fields came into the week end calm and collected not worried about when or if he would get selected.

County lifts burn ban
Conditions have improved to allow for outdoor burning. On Tuesday, April 26, County Judge Bill Gravell lifted the burn ban for unincorporated areas of Williamson County.

DUCK HEROES
The Taylor ISD school board recognized four staff members at the April 18 meeting and expressed deep appreciation for their efforts in not only keeping students safe, but saving lives. During a trip of the boys soccer team to a recent game, the driver of the chartered bus suddenly became ill and unable to perform his duties.

Input needed to wrangle codes
A rodeo – of sorts – and bike ride are ways Taylor residents can tell the city how to improve its development. Taylor’s municipal government, in partnership with Simplecity Design, have two avenues this week for the community to provide input on Taylor’s development code.
