A 35-year-old Taylor man was charged with public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor, after he reportedly became aggressive with a Taylor officer when police responded to a complaint about loud music in the 1600 block of Jones Street. The music came from a parked vehicle in which the man sat.
MAY 7
A 21-year-old Taylor man was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a seconddegree felony, after witnesses said he threatened others with a knife shortly before 8:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Booth Street.
MAY 9
A 37-year-old Taylor man involved in a collision got in more hot water when officers responding to the accident in the 1100 block of North Main Street at 12:18 p.m. determined the motorist was driving with an invalid license. In addition to being charged with that Class C misdemeanor, the man was arrested on a pair of outstanding warrants — assault with bodily injury/family violence (enhanced), a third-degree felony; and violation of court order, a Class B misdemeanor.
MAY 11
A 28-year-old Mission man was cited for public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor, after Taylor police responded to the 1000 block of Mallard Lane at 1:38 a.m. for a call of an unwanted person. According to officers, the man slurred his speech, swayed while walking and could not remember the address of his residence. He was taken into custody.
