St. Mary’s High School had a strong showing this athletic season, as several of its student-athletes earned prestigious Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship (TCAF) All-District and All-State honors.
Among those recognized with All-District selections were junior Leah Altman, junior Mercy Barta, sophomore Demi Dahlberg, and sophomore Adi Flores for their contributions on the volleyball court. In basketball, junior Sydney Zimmerhanzel received All-District recognition, while senior Kolbe Barta earned the honor in both football and basketball. Junior Steven Reyes also picked up All-District honors for football.
In addition, six athletes stood out even further by earning both All-District and All-State accolades for their performances on the football field. Seniors Ethan Britten, Peairson DeHoyos, David Pena, and Khasen Wilson, along with junior Mikal Rethlake and senior Tyler Zimmerhanzel, were named to both teams. Zimmerhanzel was also recognized at the state level for basketball, capping off a standout senior year.
