TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MAY 22

A traffic stop at 10:12 a.m. in the 1100 block of Howard Street put a 55-year-old Taylor woman behind bars after officers discovered suspected methamphetamine. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 over 1 gram, a third-degree felony.

At 8:59 p.m., police escorted a 47-year-old Taylor man to the Taylor Municipal Court after finding him in the 1600 block of Veterans Drive with a city warrant for prohibited camping, a Class C misdemeanor.

MAY 23

After pulling over a vehicle at 7:28 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Main Street, police arrested a 21-year-old Taylor man wanted on two outstanding city warrants including collision with personal injury, a Class A misdemeanor, and probation violation-assault with injury, a Class A misdemeanor.

MAY 24

A 21-year-old Taylor man stopped by law officers at 2:51 a.m. in the 100 block of Royal Street was charged with driving while intoxicated-second offense, a Class A misdemeanor.

MAY 25

At 8:35 a.m., law officers apprehended a 36-year-old Taylor man in the 100 block of Gunther Way named in three outstanding warrants. They include stalking, a thirddegree felony; and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information and invasive visual recording, both state jail felonies.

Police responding to a 911 hangup call at 1:12 p.m. in the 700 block of Lizzie Street located a 42-year-old Taylor man at the residence who had an active temporary protective order filed against him. He was charged with violation of a protective order, a Class A misdemeanor.

Officers rushing to investigate a report of violation of a protective order at 3:54 p.m. in the 2100 block of North Drive learned a 28-year-old Taylor man had left the residence prior to their arrival, but he was located hiding in an alleyway in the 800 block of Howard Street. He was detained and charged with violation of a protective order, a Class A misdemeanor.
