The Taylor Ducks varsity baseball team had six players earn All-District 24-4A honors, including two first-team selections, three second-team selections and one honorable mention.

Xavier Juarez and Mario Aquero were named to the first team. Juarez posted a .351 batting average and drove in nine runs, while Aquero finished with eight RBIs and a .278 average at the plate.

Connor Woods, Tayden Talley and Mason Sunvision were selected to the second team. Woods was one of the team’s top pitchers, recording a 3.82 ERA. He also contributed offensively with a .255 batting average and seven RBIs.

Talley, a standout freshman, served as the Ducks’ ace. He led the pitching staff with a 2.02 ERA and added seven RBIs with a .220 batting average. Talley is expected to be a key player for Taylor in the coming years.

Sunvision hit .231 on the season and drove in four runs.

Trey Stromberg received honorable mention after finishing with a .244 batting average and six RBIs.

The Ducks ended the season with a 6-18-1 overall record and a 4-8 mark in district play — two spots shy of reaching the postseason.
